Under the direction of Tony winner John Benjamin Hickey, Sarah Jessica Parker makes her highly anticipated West End debut alongside real life husband Matthew Broderick in Neil Simon’s sensational romantic comedy Plaza Suite when it opens for a limited season at the Savoy Theatre this January.
A razor sharp exploration of modern love and marriage, Plaza Suite portrays a trio of couples who each find themselves in hilarious situations within the same hotel room: Suite 719 of the Plaza Hotel.
Among these couples are Karen and Sam Nash who are revisiting their honeymoon suite in an attempt to rekindle their failing relationship. Suburban housewife Muriel Tate is secretly meeting her old flame Jesse Kiplinger for nothing more than a chat - however, smooth-talking ladies' man Jesse has other ideas... Lastly Norma and Roy Hubley make frantic attempts to coax their daughter Mimsey out of the bathroom to attend her wedding as the gathered guests arrive downstairs.
