This Christmas slip on your blue suede shoes and come and see for yourself a recreation of the legendary day on 4th December in 1956 when Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis all came together at Sam Phillips’s Sun Records studio in Memphis for an impromptu jam session.
Although the musicians and performances take centre stage, the show portrays the moving story of the enigmatic Phillips, the talent spotter and producer, who having nurtured these colossal talents was about to lose three of them to fame.
Much more than a typical jukebox musical for nostalgic baby-boomers, this energetic show features a timeless soundtrack which includes Hound Dog, Blue Suede Shoes, Fever, I Walk the Line, Great Balls of Fire, I Hear You Knocking, See You Later Alligator and Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On.
