Following in the footsteps of its award-winning production Into the Hoods, dance company ZooNation has been wowing West End audiences once again with its latest thrilling show, Some Like It Hip Hop, which makes a triumphant return to the Peacock Theatre for a third season.
Set in a city where books are banned and where women are kept subservient to men, Some Like It Hip Hop is a complicated comical tale of love, mistaken identity, cross-dressing, gender stereotypes and revolution played out in ZooNation's trademark style of hip hop, comedy and physical theatre. With a nod to Billy Wilder's classic movie Some Like It Hot and taking inspiration from Shakespeare's Twelfth Night and hit US series Mad Men, the show unites electrifying dancing with infectious wit, magnificent energy and an engrossing storyline.
Directed by Sadlers Wells Associate Artist Kate Prince, Some Like It Hip Hop also features an original score by Josh Cohen and DJ Walde, live singing and some of the UKs top hip hop dance talent including Lizzie Gough, Teneisha Bonner and Tommy Franzen.
