Brilliant but embittered academic Faustus is a professor of divinity as well as a renowned physician and scholar. Frustrated with the futility of religion, law and science he is desperate for a deeper understanding of the universe – and for the worldwide fame that it will bring.
Risking everything, he conjures a demon and makes a pact with the Devil, selling his soul in return for twenty four years of absolute knowledge and infinite power. This fatal decision catapults him into an intoxicating world, but as the clock inexorably counts down to the final moment of reckoning, what is the cost of his insatiable thirst for wealth and fame?
