Douglas Hodge and Nigel Planer star in Academy Award winning director Sam Mendes' new production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, a stage adaptation of Roald Dahl's deliciously dark 1964 children's fantasy book which inspired two cult films.
When penniless Charlie Bucket wins a golden ticket to the mysterious chocolate factory owned by the eccentric confectioner Willy Wonka, it's the chance of a lifetime to feast on the sweets he's always dreamed of. Along with four other children and their parents, Charlie and his grandpa Joe embark on a spectacular adventure beyond their wildest imaginations. Beyond the gates astonishment awaits, with a chocolate garden, an army of squirrels and the curiously peculiar Oompa-Loompas. But down the sugary corridors and amongst the incredible edible delights, the five lucky winners discover not everything is as sweet as it seems.......
