Andrew Lloyd Webber’s record-breaking musical Cats returns to the capital for a strictly limited 12 week run at the London Palladium this Christmas. Directed by Sir Trevor Nunn, American recording artist Nicole Scherzinger will make her West End debut as Grizabella.
Based on T. S. Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, the musical is set on the special night each year that all the Jellicle Cats meet for the Jellicle Ball. They gather from far and wide so that their wise leader Old Deuteronomy can choose the one most deserving of making the journey up to the Heaviside Layer and entering a new life.
One of the longest running shows in history, Cats has been seen by more than 73 million people across the globe. Featuring an amazing musical score including the timeless and iconic Memory, Cats folds fantasy, drama and romance into the telling of its tale.
